We took a day trip to El Retiro. We really liked the path that followed the river. Along the way there are concrete patios for doing bbq. They even provide firewood for the grill. A very friendly community thing to provide. However we found the downtown area to be very crowded with narrow streets and not at all relaxing, so that makes this green space along the river even more important to their community.
